"The Fascinating World of Cryptids"

Hello, there people. This is your thamizh back here with an interesting context for the blog today. Humans are more likely interested in topics that are unknown or mysterious to them. That creates a curiosity to learn things that we haven't explored yet. This curiosity of when and why was the reason for human evolution. One such vast mysterious topic is the search for ancient extinct animals that we failed to remember.

It was so challenging to even collect information regarding these unique ancient species that became extinct way long ago. In today's blog, I will mention a few ancient species that, you would have never heard of in your life. so without any further ado let's get into the data of these ancient creatures. Most of this ancient creature mentioned here is foreshadowed in games and other fantasy storylines.

Ammonite
  •  Ammonites are a group of extinct marine animals whose external shells are coiled, similar to that of a modern-day nautilus and they are separated by chambers. The other sections of the ammonites are filled with gas or fluid in which the ammonite could regulate Buoyancy. Their shell became excellent fossils that lived in the geological period. Scientists have confirmed that the ammonites appeared 200 million years ago and went extinct 65 million years ago.

Liopleurodon
  • The appearance of this species might be a little familiar to you all because we have seen Mosasaurus in the Jurassic World movies. But this one is an entirely different species. Liopleurodon is a carnivorous marine reptile that was a short-necked plesiosaur. It was not a Dinosaur. It was an apex predator. They survived in the period of middle Jurassic to late Jurassic. To be more precise they lived in the period of 166 million years to 155 million years.

Chalicotherium
  • Chalicotherium is a land animal with a strange anatomy similar to a muscular horse with gorilla-like limbs. It may also have some anatomical similarities to a sloth due to its proportion of the limbs. Their long claws make them move slower than the other land species. Most of the time they walk using their knuckles preventing their claws.

Diplocaulus Magnicornis
  • Diplocaulus is a late amphibian animal from the carboniferous through Permian periods of 300 million years ago. It has an unusual boomerang face structure which looks way too similar to the modern-day string rays. Though it may give the presence of a dinosaur, it's not. Hence it is from an amphibian family it can survive in both land and water. In diplocaulus, respiration is through their porous skin membrane. The diplocaulus weighed similar to the weight of the modern cat.

Araneo
  • Araneo is a unique variant from the spider family which can be discovered in dark caves and in and around the volcano of Ragnarok and volcanic island. Basically, the spider family species are called "Araneoids" in general. These creatures are well-established in games and other sci-fi media.

I hope you all would have enjoyed this blog and learned something informative. Personally, I haven't known any of these creatures before researching for this blog. More than providing informative content, this helps me to learn a lot of things together with you all. See you all in another interesting blog until then this is your thamizh. signing off.
